12 Motivational Quotes for Fearless Sales Reps

2 min read

The role of a sales representative is arguably one of the professions that most influences state of mind and self-motivation. So we’ve compiled a list of 12 motivational quotes, dedicated specifically to sales reps, that’ll get you energized and help you overcome any personal obstacles that stand between you and your sales.

We often have the tendency to think that people’s abilities remain fixed and unalterable. For example, if someone is efficient in their work, we assume that they’ll always be that way. Similarly, if someone has shown less talent or skill in their work, we assume that the opposite is true. We often forget the importance of being motivated to perform well and reach our professional goals.

Angela Lee Duckworth, a well-known psychologist from the University of Pennsylvania, carried out an experiment in 2011 that suggested there’s a correlation between motivation and intellectual performance. Researchers knew that not everyone pushes themselves to the same extent in IQ tests, and so they decided to economically reward participants with varying amounts of money to see how well they’d perform. In her report, Angela Lee noted that participants who were promised a reward of 10 dollars improved their results by up to 20 points. Whereas, those who were promised a smaller monetary reward only improved their results by up to 2 points. The test proved the extent to which being motivated can influence someone’s abilities to perform well, especially on something we believe to be as fixed as intellect.

One profession where it certainly pays to be motivated is that of a sales representative. Below is a list of 12 motivational quotes we’ve compiled and grouped by topic to help you go out and sell more.
